Uneekor Installation
A Uneekor installation starts with the room: the overhead models (EYE XO2, EYE XO and EYE XR) mount on the ceiling and need about 9 to 10 feet of height, while the floor-standing EYE MINI models sit beside the ball. Indoor Golf Design (IGD) sizes the room to the model, mounts and calibrates the unit, and builds the screen, enclosure and finishes around it.
Uneekor makes camera-based launch monitors. High-speed cameras photograph the ball and, on most models, the clubface at impact, and feed that data into your simulator software. Because the overhead units live on the ceiling, nothing sits on the floor beside the golfer, which is why they suit a finished room so well.
We sell and install Uneekor alongside TrackMan, Full Swing, Foresight Sports, FlightScope and TruGolf, so a Uneekor recommendation from us comes from the room and the golfer, not a single brand.
This guide covers what Uneekor does, the model lineup, the price of each unit, what the installation asks of your room, and how Uneekor compares with TrackMan.

The Technology
Radar launch monitors track the ball after it leaves the clubface. Uneekor launch monitors are photometric: they read what happened at impact.
The EYE XO and XO2 mount above the hitting area and photograph the ball and the club at impact. The floor stays clear, and there is no box to aim around or move between clubs.
Uneekor’s Dimple Optix reads the dimple pattern of a normal golf ball for spin, so you do not need marked balls the way the earlier QED did.
Pointing the cameras at the clubface adds face angle, impact position and club path. The flagship units report 24 ball and club data points, and the MINI models report 19.
Camera systems are strong on chips and short shots indoors, which is where a lot of home practice happens.
The Lineup
Uneekor sells floor-standing and ceiling-mounted units. The launch monitor sets the ceiling on everything around it, so this is the most important choice in the build. Our guide, which Uneekor launch monitor should you buy, goes deeper on each one.
The overhead flagships. Both give a 28 by 21 inch hitting zone, use three high-speed cameras and report 24 data points. The XO2 is lighter (about 12 lb against 30 lb), which makes it easier to mount. Plan for roughly 10 feet of width, 9 to 10 feet of height and 16 feet of depth.
A rear-mounted overhead unit that keeps the ceiling in front of the golfer clean, for a room that wants the overhead format at a lower price than the XO.
Floor-standing units that sit about 1.5 to 2 feet beside the ball, with Dimple Optix and 19 metrics. The MINI LITE is indoor-only, the MINI adds a battery so it can go to the range, and the MINI CORE is the entry point. They suit a low-ceiling basement or a first simulator.
Uneekor’s original overhead launch monitor, which needed marked balls to read spin. If you already own one, we can work it into a new room and tell you honestly whether an upgrade is worth it.

Cost
Hardware is one number and a finished room is another. These are approximate US list prices for the launch monitor alone, as of October 2026.
| Model | Mount | Approx. price |
|---|---|---|
| EYE MINI CORE | Floor | $1,249 |
| EYE MINI LITE | Floor | About $1,999 |
| EYE MINI | Floor, battery | About $2,999 |
| EYE XR | Overhead, rear-mounted | From about $6,000 |
| EYE XO | Overhead | About $6,500 |
| EYE XO2 | Overhead | $10,999 |

The software is the other running cost. Every Uneekor ships with the free Player tier. GSPro, E6 Connect and TGC 2019 sit in the Pro tier at $199 a year per unit, though the overhead EYE XO and XO2 ship with the GSPro and E6 connector included.
A finished room adds the screen, enclosure, projector, turf, computer, lighting, acoustics, millwork and seating. IGD custom golf simulators range from $50,000 to $100,000+ for luxury, and our prices include plans and room layouts. See how much it costs to build a golf simulator.
Room Requirements
Installing a Uneekor is not difficult, but the overhead models need the room to cooperate. This is what we check before we quote.
Most ceiling-mounted tracking units need at least 9 feet. For the XO and XO2, plan for 9 to 10 feet. Under 9 feet, we usually point you to a floor-standing MINI.
Plan for about 16 feet of depth for the overhead units. Uneekor suggests about 14 feet of width for a centered bay shared by left- and right-handed players.
The unit has to be fixed to something rigid, such as joists or a beam. Vibration in the mount shows up as noise in the tracking.
Cameras need even, consistent light with no glare into the lens. Neutral LED lights in the 4000 to 5000 Kelvin range help keep shadows off the hitting area.
Uneekor runs from a Windows PC with a wired Ethernet connection. We spec the computer to your software and run the cables inside the walls.
After mounting we calibrate the hitting zone and set the tee position, so the system reads every club in your bag.

Comparison
TrackMan is radar. It reads the ball’s flight from behind the hitting position, so it wants depth behind the ball as well as in front of it, and it is the stronger tool outdoors. Uneekor is cameras, reading the ball and the club at impact from above or beside the ball.
A dedicated indoor room. The overhead format leaves a clear floor, the short-game data is reliable, and the hardware costs far less, which leaves more of the budget for the screen, lighting and finishes.

Why Uneekor
Reading the ball and club at impact gives reliable numbers indoors, and our PGA Professionals can help you interpret them.
With the unit on the ceiling, nothing sits beside the golfer, so the room looks finished rather than equipped.
Lower hardware cost leaves more for the screen, lighting, seating and finishes you look at every time you play.
Uneekor’s Swing Optix cameras add swing video synced to each shot. If it is even a maybe, tell us before the room is finished so the cabling goes in during the build.
The trade-offs are real: you need a Windows PC, third-party course software usually needs the Pro tier, and an overhead unit stays in the room. If those matter to you, we will point you to a different system.
